The admission process for private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) has begun. As part of the first phase, the lottery was held on May 20, in which the applications of 32,680 children were rejected, due to the children’s old age. In fact, this time the Ministry of Education published a new education policy.

For this, double, i.e. 1 lakh 22 thousand 270 applications were received. Out of these, the names of only 28 thousand 98 children appeared in the lottery. 12426 requests were found to be incomplete. 2590 children applied to more than one school. 32680 requests canceled by the department due to age and lack of documents. In this framework, maximum 8525 applications were canceled in Raipur and number two 3510 applications were canceled in Durg district. Whereas in Bilaspur district, 643 applications were rejected this time. Now the parents of these children are making rounds in schools and the District Education Officer’s office.

6588 more applications were canceled than last year
In this session, 90 private schools were established within the framework of the right to education. In 2023, 6464 schools in the country were under the purview of RTE. There are 6554 schools in this seat, but 1058 seats have been reduced. Last year there were 53840 seats, now there are 52782 seats. Apart from that, the department canceled 6588 more applications than last year. Last time 26092 requests were cancelled. This time 32680 requests were cancelled. Last year, the names of 39,498 children appeared in the lottery. This time only 28098 children were selected.
